Cannes

Sparkling, fascinating, high class, Cannes is situated in the splendid position at the end of the gulf of Napoule, facing the Lerins island this beautiful southeastern city is famous for its international film festival hosted since 1946. The Boulevar della Croisette is one of the most popular tourist attractions for lovers of sea, sun and sand. It is a 12 kilometres long sea-front promenade surrounded by palm trees and with many cafes, shops and restaurant.

Worthy of a visit is the Musèe de la Castre inaugurated in 1952. Here you will discover a rich collection of Mediterranean findings originating from Egypt, Greece, Rome, Mesopotamia, Iran, Siria and Cypres. Native art from Africa, Asia and America. Very interesting is also the collection of panoramic views of Cannes in the 18th century. Next to the museum in the 18th century St. Anne Chapel is displayed a beautiful collection of musical instruments from all over the world. From its medieval tower you can admire a breath-taking view of Cannes and its bay.
