From the pebble beach the medieval town of Cervo rises, surrounded by green hills. Coral fishery
brought prosperity to the town in the 16th, 17th and 18th century, which is reflected in the church of
Giovanni Battista.
In summer the Festival Internazioale di Musica da Camera (International Chamber Music Festival)
takes place in and around the church.
Amongst other attractions in Cervo the ethnographic museum of Western Liguria is located in the
castle.
