Vallauris Antibes
Vallauris is situated along the coast that joins Nice with Saint-Tropez just five kilometres from Cannes and Antibes.It is divided into two zones: the old part which is the Historical nucleus of the town with a typical provencal atmosphere. The inside streets host shops and laboratories full of creative activities, the fusion of bronze, wood carvings from olive wood, workings in stone, glass and crystal, perfume distilleries, the making and decorating of ceramics.
The modern zone is called Golfe Juan, it is the seaside resort of Vallauris, its long sandy beaches full of bistros and restaurants, two tourist ports and many night spots where you can spend an enjoyable summer evening. It is a location with a strong mediterranean atmosphere that surprises all who visit here. Vallauris also charmed Pablo Picasso who lived in the town from 1948-1955. In the Paul Isnard Square is you can see the bronze sculpture “Man with the lamb” one of his most famous works.
