"Nissa la bella": the sixth largest city in France, Nice, is a city to discover. Provencal markets,
monuments, palmtrees, blue sea and historic houses. The old town is characterized by winding
streets, squares and Baroque churches. At the heart of the city, the Cours Saleya, the daily
market is kept. Although the name Flower Market suggests otherwise, this is a global fresh
produce market that turnes into an antique market on Monday.
Monuments, churches and cathedrals (including a Russian cathedral) and museums compete
for attention in this city. The Boulevard des Anglais along the beach is one of the most popular
attractions of the city. Laid out on behalf of the British elite who already populated Nice in the
18teh century.
Parc Phoenix, the botanical garden of Nice, has amongst other things seven greenhouses, each
with its own climate.
